Knee push-up

A floor push-up with the knees supported.

How to do it

  1. Place hands a little wider than your shoulders and rest knees on padding.
  2. Maintain a straight line from knees to head as you bend your elbows.
  3. Press the floor away and return with control.

Form check

Keep elbows at a comfortable diagonal rather than flaring wide.

Make it easier

Use an incline push-up instead.

Move within a comfortable range and keep breathing. Stop if a movement causes pain or you feel unwell. Ask a qualified trainer for help with unfamiliar equipment.
