Low step-up

Practice stepping onto a stable, low platform.

How to do it

  1. Use a secured step with a rail nearby.
  2. Place your whole foot on the step and rise through that leg.
  3. Step down slowly and change the leading leg.

Form check

Do not use a rolling stool or unstable box.

Make it easier

Use a lower step with hand support.

Move within a comfortable range and keep breathing. Stop if a movement causes pain or you feel unwell. Ask a qualified trainer for help with unfamiliar equipment.
