Machine chest press
Use a guided machine for a chest-level press.
How to do it
- Ask staff to adjust the seat so the handles sit around chest level.
- With your back supported, press the handles forward smoothly.
- Return without letting the weight stack slam.
Form check
Choose a light resistance that allows a comfortable range.
Make it easier
Use a wall push-up or reduce the machine resistance.
Move within a comfortable range and keep breathing. Stop if a movement causes pain or you feel unwell. Ask a qualified trainer for help with unfamiliar equipment.
