Seated cable row

Build a controlled pulling movement from a seated position.

How to do it

  1. Ask a trainer to help set up the machine. Select a light resistance and place your feet on the supports.
  2. Sit tall with your knees softly bent and hold the handle with straight arms.
  3. Pull toward your lower ribs with your elbows near your sides, then slowly return.

Form check

Keep your torso steady. Avoid leaning back or using momentum to move the weight.

Make it easier

Reduce the range of movement and use a stable support where appropriate.

Move within a comfortable range and keep breathing. Stop if a movement causes pain or you feel unwell. Ask a qualified trainer for help with unfamiliar equipment.
